Error Codes Help

  • BINFER_SERVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system

CAUSE: When the system cannot reach Binfer’s servers for authentication and licensing purposes

ACTIONS: Make sure your system is connected to internet and firewall settings are properly configured (Go to network requirements section in this document)

  • EXTERNAL_IP_NOT_FOUND

ISSUE: You Binfer service might not be reachable by clients. Ignore this error if you are working with systems on LAN

CAUSE: When Binfer service is unable to detect your external IP address

ACTIONS: Make sure your system is connected to internet and firewall settings are properly configured (Go to network requirements section in this document)

  • FAILED_TO_AUTHENTICATE

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system

CAUSE: When the system cannot reach Binfer server for authentication or you license usage might have exceeded or expired

ACTIONS: Reach out to your Binfer rep. for resolving this issue

  • PC_SERVER_NOT_ACCESSIBLE

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system. This error only occurs on client devices

CAUSE: When the system cannot reach you Private Cloud server for authentication and licensing purposes

ACTIONS: Make sure your system is connected to internet and firewall settings are properly configured (Go to network requirements section in this document). Additionally, check whether the private cloud server is available by using the link shown in the log file in step 3

  • UNKNOWN_AUTHENTICATION_ERROR

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system

CAUSE: When Binfer service license files are corrupt or your license has expired

ACTIONS: Reach out to Binfer rep. for resolving this issue

  • PC_FILE_NOT_FOUND

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system

CAUSE: Occurs when the pc file is not present at the location specified during installation

ACTIONS: Get a fresh PC file from the private cloud server and paste it at the location provided. If its not a fresh installation, then PC file is usually preset SYSTEMFOLDER/conf/CLIENT_ID.pc. Make sure you paste the file in that location too.

  • PC_FILE_INVALID

ISSUE: Binfer service will not start on your system

CAUSE: Occurs when the pc file is corrupt

ACTIONS: Get a fresh PC file from the private cloud server

  • DIRECTORY_NOT_FOUND

ISSUE: Files are abandoned and will not transferred to client(member) device

CAUSE: Binfer service is unable to find a source folder or destination folder that belongs to a sync rule

ACTIONS: Go to errors tab and find the error folder’s location and check if it exists and accessible to Binfer

  • FILE_NOT_FOUND

ISSUE: Files are abandoned and will not transferred to client(member) device

CAUSE: Binfer service is unable to find the file that got indexed

ACTIONS: Go to errors tab and find the error file’s location and check if it exists and accessible to Binfer

  • NOT_ENOUGH_DISK_SPACE

ISSUE: Files are abandoned and will not transferred to client(member) device

CAUSE: This occurs when the destination location on the client(member) device of the sync rule does not have enough space for the files to be transferred

ACTIONS: Go to server errors tab and find the device that throws the error and then logon to that device and make space at that sync rules destination folder.
